Health/Safety Management Policy

SK Materials established the SHE (Safety, Health, and Environment) Policy to pursue a Safe and Healthy Workplace and Green Corporate Culture. We have enhanced the safety and health management not only for our employees, but for all stakeholders including communities, customers, and suppliers.

SHE Policy
  1. SK Materials pursues the protection of humans and the environment as a top priority at all stages of its management activities, secures the trust of employees and stakeholders, and actively practices the following for sustainable SHE management.
  2. 1. Building a safe and healthy workplace

    Through SHE-centered management, we continuously pursue the establishment of a safe and healthy workplace where all stakeholders such as members, local communities, customers, and partners can trust.

  3. 2. Pursuit of eco-friendly corporate culture

    We minimize the emission of pollutants through eco-friendly design, efficient use of resources, and introduction of optimal pollution prevention facilities, and protect the environment of workplaces and communities through systematic management of harmful chemicals and transparent disclosure of information.

  4. 3. Securing trust through compliance

    We secure the trust of stakeholders by thoroughly complying with safety/health/environment related laws and stakeholders’ requests, establishing the highest level of SHE management system, and transparently disclosing it.

    All members acknowledge the improvement of SHE values as a core task of management and continuously strive to achieve the goals.

Employees Health Management

SK Materials operates health promotion programs and medical examinations for all employees including temporary and contract workers.To prevent occupational diseases, we regularly assess health-related risks at worksites through risk assessment for brain and cardiovascular diseases, investigation on musculoskeletal factors, and measurement of hazardous chemicals in a working environment.We also regularly assess and improve the working environment of our workplaces, including those of residing suppliers.SK Materials implements health promotion programs and disease prevention activities, based on the health checkup results and the counseling afterwards. We will continue to conduct various activities to manage and improve employees’ health.

Suppliers Health/Safety Management

SK Materials conducts a workplace environment monitoring for suppliers to improve their working environment and prevent occupational diseases. To improve overall SHE management of the suppliers, SK Materials has expanded the coverage of health promotion programs to its suppliers, providing them with brain and cardiovascular disease preventive programs and life style management programs. We will continuously support our suppliers to get the certification of ISO 14001/45001 and their renewal afterwards.
